2020 Can Go To Hell!

2020 Can Go To Hell!

Is there anything that can go towards salvaging anything to turn this year around?

2020 can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. It's been a terrible year for my work, and then some. The World is reeling from so many dark shadows as well as the assault on our natural planet seems to be accelerating beyond all imaginable lengths. Not only is the loss of work soul destroying but it also places a massive strain on personal ties with friends, and more importantly family. Whilst I look at the current situation from a personal standpoint there are stories by the millions of people who have been negatively impacted by the events predominantly as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. We are in uncharted territory with regards to the modern man and a pandemic that has become so far reaching as Covid-19.

Where's me people at? 2020 put paid to so many planned photoshoots.

While my sentiment that 2020 can go to hell conveys my take on the situation I guess the true mark of a person is defined by how the individual adapts and overcomes this more than obtuse obstacle. Out of the darkness of this pandemic come stories of people who have taken this situation and turned it into a positive. Entrepreneurs seeing market opportunities to create a range of online services. Given now being the time when it seems the World shops online, e-commerce is seeing a massive boost. Conversely trades such as mine, that require me to be outside, traditionally mixing with clients etc are in monumental, catastrophic even, decline. It stands to reason given the current situation.

And so I guess the message here is not to get downhearted. Yeah this literally sucks plums but at the end of the day we're all in this together. The greater good we can do is approach this from a unified stance as opposed to thinking specifically about the self interest. We have to do what is right for our families, this has never been in doubt. Only now, given that we've never collectively been in such a position, with the technology, understanding and advances in medicine that we have at our disposal it all suggests that for once we need to put the welfare of our families, neighbors and fellow man as the priority.
