For this shot, I set myself among the jagged rocks on the western shore, framing the distant outline of Kouri Island as the sun began to drop toward the horizon. Using a long exposure allowed me to soften the restless ocean into a glassy surface, giving the scene a serene, dreamlike quality that contrasts beautifully with the rugged textures in the foreground. The calm of the evening meant I could simply enjoy the moment as I worked, letting the slow rhythm of the waves and the warm light of the setting sun guide the final image.
