Mount Fuji at SunsetThis photograph of Mount Fuji was taken from the shoreline of Lake Shoji at sunset, where the calm waters and clear evening light created an unforgettable scene. By using ND filters, I was able to extend the exposure and smooth the surface of the lake, allowing the warm summer hues of the setting sun to gently wash over the mountain. The lower slopes glowed in soft golden tones, while the peak stood in sharp contrast, still streaked with traces of ice and snow that caught the fading light. The long exposure not only enhanced the serenity of the water but also gave the entire image a tranquil, almost timeless quality, balancing the warmth of summer with the cool reminder of Fuji’s enduring alpine crown.
