For this photograph, I waded into the shallows with my camera sealed safely inside an Aquatech Surf Housing fitted with an 8-inch dome port, positioning myself to capture the warm glow of sunset reflected on the rippling surface of the water. Using a wide-angle lens and a small aperture, I allowed the distant surfer to fade into a dark silhouette, becoming a subtle element against the horizon. My focus was instead on the shimmering colors in the near waters, where the fiery hues of the sky melted into the sea. The result is a scene that balances human presence with the natural beauty of Okinawa’s coastline at day’s end.
