On Okinawa’s rugged west coast, I captured the moment a massive winter wave collided with an offshore rock, sending a dramatic plume of spray high into the air. The yellowing skies of late evening formed a striking backdrop, their muted tones contrasting beautifully with the raw white energy of the ocean’s impact.
