I’d been looking for so long for a waterfall that faced in exactly the right direction with the added feature of having enough open space around it in order to shoot it, in the middle of night with the Milky Way rising behind it. I found that place on the island of Iriomote. A 1hr flight, 40min Taxi and 45min Ferry ride later I found myself heading into the dense jungle for a 1hr trek. And all just to snag a photo, but man was it worth it!
