Zampa Goes Wild

Print Description

Cape Zampa is one of the focal tourist spots on Okinawa, predominantly for the photogenic lighthouse located on the dramatic cliffs of the area. During times of stormy weather or when big Ocean swells hit, it is also the best vantage spot to photograph absolute monster waves as they crash onto the surrounding volcanic landscape. Some of the waves I’ve seen thus far look simply like the Ocean is being folded in half and dumped on the area, so incredibly impressive.
