Casting one’s eye to the west of Okinawa, there are floating gems on the distant horizon. The Kerama Islands, on a nightly basis, are drenched in the golden hues of the setting sun. When photographed with a long telephoto lens, they seem to almost float above the water’s surface, in doing so, intensifying their mystical appeal. These are the islands of crystalline waters where Sea Turtles frolic and the sands are made of stars. They beckon the adventurous traveler.
