Panning through the horizon with a slow shutter at dan on the East coast of Okinawa Island. This has to be done about 30 minutes prior to sunrise as any later and the highlights would overexpose with the required extended shutter speed. As always with this technique the viewer is transformed to a landscape that requires his, or her, imagination to translate the maelstrom of motion, tone, and light.
