It was coming to the end of a photographic session. My memory cards were almost complete; most surfers had already left the water, and the waves were not that impressive anyway. Looking away from the sunset, the Ocean seemed darker than usual, cobalt blue across the reef. While nothing seemed out of place, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of foreboding. As someone who has become used to listening to that little voice of my subconscious, I made for shore.
