I will never cease to be amazed at the incredible kaleidoscope of colors on display when the sun sets in Okinawa and mother nature decides to play her hand. Even more so when I enter the water with my camera encased in a protective surf housing and I opt to play with a very shallow depth of field by way of an almost completely opened lens set to its maximum aperture. Not only then am I privy to the tones but I can also pick out edges, forms and flow of the liquid while further deciding on the extent of defocusing I afford the setting sun. These moments are fleeting, yet due to the liquid aspect of the scene, totally unique. One absolute moment in time, never to be duplicated.
